Pettai is a residential suburb of Tirunelveli town and is home to 3 mega lakes of the city. The Pettai Periyakulam, Thamaraikulam and Moolikulam.
The Pettai Moolikulam was taken up for collaborative conservation and in pictures are the brand new lake with its fencing to prevent encroachment, garbage dumping and more.
